Welcome to the second edition of RHINOEDU MASTER DISSECTION COURSE.
RhinoEdu is a scientific group founded in 2023 in Como, Italy, dedicated to the promotion of basic sciences, anatomical research and the dissemination of surgical skills in endoscopic paranasal sinus and skull base surgery. This initiative is supported by a strong network of international opinion leaders in the field. The group is also supported by national scientific societies dedicated to the treatment of paranasal sinus and skull base diseases: the Italian Academy of Rhinology and the Italian Skull Base Society.
Endoscopic surgery of the paranasal sinuses and skull base has undergone rapid evolutions in recent years: innovative minimally invasive approaches have been described, the use of local flaps to resurface surgical areas has been introduced into daily clinical practice, and technological advances in operating room equipment have become crucial.
The aim of this course is to share knowledge and experience in sinuses and skull base surgery in order to refine skills and focus on the advantages and disadvantages of each procedure.
The course is designed so that each day is dedicated to a specific paranasal sinus: the first day is focused on surgical corridors to the frontal sinus; the second day on the maxillary sinus, sphenoidal sinus and pituitary region; the third day on the orbit, including trans-nasal decompressions and lateral orbital decompression through a trans-conjunctival approach.
International networking among delegates and direct discussion with recognized speakers will be the strength points of this course.
Last but not least, the scenario of Lake Como will provide an amazing setting for this intriguing educational experience.
